PVAS in the News - RSPCA WA's Animal Welfare Awards 2022

Therapy donkey Legacy was among those creatures great and small to be recognised at RSPCA WA’s Animal Welfare Awards today.

The awards held on World Animal Day are an important celebration of the efforts of the people and organisations improving the lives of animals from around Western Australia.

This year’s ceremony saw 43 awards handed out, including a category just for our four-legged friends- with a horse, a donkey, a three-legged lamb and seven dogs all recognised.

The work of the organisations represented is of immense importance to our animals and our communities and I would like to congratulate RSPCA WA for recognising this effort.

The McGowan Government shares your desire to see all animals receive appropriate standards of care, investing more than $9.3 million in animal welfare related initiatives- including modernising animal welfare legislation.

PVAS Wins RSPCA Animal Awards

 

On the 4th of October, which is World Animal Day, RSPCA hosted it’s annual ‘Animal Welfare Awards’.  It was a beautifully sunny day and Tofu accompanied us to the function near the Swan River, where she enjoyed the beautiful grass and water views!

 

Possum Valley was excited to see Tofu receive a bronze ‘Animal Award’ for her inspirational rehabilitation story and PVAS received a bronze ‘Community Action’ award for it’s services to local animal rescue. Well done to everyone who entered – we hope that in time all animals are winners, regardless of their species!
