This past week the sun has been shining and temperatures reaching the mid 20 degrees, conditions enjoyed by both human and animal folk. The start of spring also means that many of our wildlife friends are on the move! Birds are nesting and rearing young, and snakes and lizards are out and about.
It can often be difficult to see wildlife while driving, so be sure to be alert and cautious, especially if travelling in areas where wildlife reside. Pictured is a young bobtail found crossing the road into the Sanctuary – his beautiful colours made him blend well with the gravel. Luckily he was spotted and able to be moved back to the safety of the bushland.
Our wildlife have much to contend with in their day to day lives, so slow down and help them get home safely too!
