Just last Saturday, a family of eight little Japanese quails arrived at the Sanctuary. The carer of this bonded family was reluctant to split the group and having trouble finding a safe home, so a cosy aviary was set up in the Valley for the feathered friends.
We named each of the quails after the Seven Dwarfs, and white fluffy female, Snow White!
Looking at the photos, you can certainly pick out Sleepy and Bashful, meanwhile
Grumpy is the first in the feed tray each morning and vocalising at his
siblings!
