In February we were contacted by a ranger at the local pound regarding a small goat who was left unclaimed.
We started looking at our rehoming lists and considering applications for goats, when we realised that the little pound goat was exceptionally small, and very lonely too.
Given Peanut goat was having difficulty making friends with the larger caprines after his long stays in the hospital pen, the new black and white arrival seemed like a perfect match!
Both Peanut and newly named ‘Walnut’ hit it off from the start, sharing food, playing chasey and napping side by side. We are happy that little Peanut now has a new gentle best friend, and that Walnut has a bright new beginning with a pal by his side!
