On Saturday the 28th of January, twenty five very dedicated volunteers
arrived bright and early to beat the heat and assist with a number of projects
in the Valley.
One group worked hard to build a retaining wall and
construct a quarantine aviary for beak and feather affected wild birds.
Other volunteers cleaned around aviaries, pruned shrubs, dug in fence posts and worked on
a shelter for the new cow paddock. All of this work was completed in 40C heat.
